Funded Early Learning for 2 Year Olds

This is funding for childcare sessions for 15 hours per week, 38 weeks of the year from the term after their 2nd birthday and is available to families who are accessing certain benefits and meet the relevant criteria. It is not an entitlement for every 2 year old.

Funded Early Learning for 3 and 4 Year Olds (Nursery Education Funding)

All 3 and 4-year-olds in England already get 15 hours a week, or 570 hours a year of free early education. If their parents are living and working in England, 3 and 4-year-olds may be entitled to 30 hours free childcare. An extra 570 hours of free childcare a year, so 1140 hours in total. 30 hours free childcare is available from September 2017.

Shorter Sessions

At Eliana Bilingual Nursery, we are proud to offer shorter sessions at our setting, which run:

8am - 11am
Session

11am - 2pm

2pm - 5pm
Session

There are many benefits to shorter sessions, which can benefit both you and your little one. Not only do they give you the opportunity to spread your funded hours across more days, they also allow us to work around your busy schedule with you, providing you with flexible support at the times that suit you best.

For your little one, shorter sessions can provide a stepping stone to establish a routine that prepares them for big school, whilst they form good habits. By spreading sessions across the week, your child will gain a sense of security at nursery, which could be beneficial if extended days away from nursery causes them stress or anxiety. The regular routine can help them feel more settled, increasing their confidence and independence when attending nursery.

Consistent attendance at nursery throughout the week can also provide better results in your child's learning and development, as there is less time between sessions, which can disrupt routine and motivation.
